2nd August 2020: Lady Celia made it win number three for the summer and our fourth winner of the year. She gets better with each run and after being a touch outpaced early chasing a strong gallop, she picked up nicely as the leaders slowed down and was going away at the line for a cosy two length victory. It was great to get some of our members racing again despite the continued attendance restrictions.
With at least three more runners this week, it's a great time to join our club, not to mention the prospect of Lady Celia going for win number four on the 7th August back at her favourite track Hamilton.
16th July 2020: Lady Celia notched up her second victory since racing resumed and did so in good style. Back at Hamilton with Connor Murtagh in the saddle, she was too good for her rivals on the day, winning by a comfortable two lengths.
We've more action for our members around the corner with Toronado Queen set to run at York and members will be keeping an eye out for Lady Celia's next engagement as she aims to make it three wins since lockdown.
13th July 2020: Lady Celia was back in action looking to follow up her victory at Hamilton with a quickfire repeat at Ayr, Barry McHugh was back in the saddle. She ran a valiant race, up with the pace throughout but was denied by a well handicapped Paul Midgley horse to finish second. She'll be running again on the 16th July, the action keeps on coming for our members.
28th June 2020: Our second winner of the year is on the board and it was Lady Celia at Hamilton Park with Barry McHugh in the saddle. Richard thought she would run well in the soft ground off her handicap mark of 54 and he was right. Towards the rear early she loved the conditions and one by one passed her rivals and battled to a neck victory.
With plenty more runners to come over the summer it's a great time to join our club from just £175.
3rd June 2020: After what felt like a lifetime, racing is back! Toronado Queen runs at Kempton with Barry McHugh in the saddle. We're delighted to have the horses running again and really looking forward to seeing our members on the track and at Musley Bank as soon as it's safe to meet.
We'll have many more runners over the next few weeks and what better way to help get through the lockdown than by joining our club, getting all the latest news on our horses and updates before they run.
10th January 2020: Our first winner of the new year is on the board! It was Lubeat Foras, ridden by Jamie Hamilton at Sedgefield. The pair were met in the winners enclosure by a group of happy members and Richard. Our five year old gelding had been going well at home and was ridden with confidence. Jamie kicked for home a long way out but as the field became stretched it was clear our fella wasn't for catching, winning by 5 lengths. We're sure this will be the first of many occasions this year when our members will get that winning feeling on the track.
